The New Straits Times today reported that the Sarawak Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said that the Sarawak government will proceed with the construction of 12 hydropower dams in the interior of Sarawak. This is despite the criticisms and protests by many inside and outside Sarawak against the projects.
