KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 — Suspended police Commissoner Datuk Ramli Yusoff has been acquitted of three corruption charges by the Sessions Court here.
Judge M Gunalan ruled today that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against Ramli, who was the Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) chief when he was charged and suspended from service in 2007.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 — The trial of three despatch riders charged over the arson attack on the Metro Tabernacle Church is set to commence on April 13.
The date was set today by the Sessions Court, where the trio — Raja Muhammad Faizal Raja Ibrahim(24-years old), Raja Muhammad Idzham Raja Ibrahim (22), and another 23-year-old, Azuwan Shah Ahmad — were charged under Section 436 of the Penal Code, in January.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 — The Barisan Nasional Back Benchers Club (BNBBC) has completed a study of amendments to the Dewan Rakyat meeting rules, and is hoping to get support from Pakatan Rakyat lawmakers to implement changes.
BNBBC deputy chairman Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin said the amendments on quorums and voting by division need a two-thirds majority to be implemented, adding he hoped to have informal discussions with the opposition bench after Parliament resumes next Monday.

IPOH, March 11 — A 60 year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a motorcyclist tried to snatch her sling bag at Kampung Pengkalan Daun, Chenderong Balai, Labu Kubong, Teluk Intan, yesterday.
Miserikah Bakri who was riding a motorcycle suffered a broken right arm, cracked rib and lip injury during the incident at 11.15am, Hilir Perak police chief ACP Goh Kok Liang said.
He said Miserikah was returning from a surau when a motorcyclist overtook her, made an about turn, and tried to snatch her sling bag.
